Grow House Flooring in Denver Metro

Purpose-built flooring for Colorado’s cannabis industry. Our grow facility floor systems handle nutrients, sanitizers, constant moisture, and heavy equipment while meeting regulatory requirements. Easy-clean, chemical-resistant surfaces that help your operation run smoothly.

Flooring Built for Cannabis Operations

Cannabis cultivation facilities present unique flooring challenges that standard coatings simply aren’t designed to handle. Nutrients, fertilizers, and pH adjusters are constantly spilled during feeding cycles. Sanitizers like hydrogen peroxide and quaternary ammonium compounds are used daily. Standing water from irrigation and humidity creates constant moisture exposure. And heavy rolling tables, forklifts, and processing equipment put mechanical stress on the floor surface.

Colorado’s cannabis industry has specific regulatory requirements for cultivation facility construction, including flooring that can be properly sanitized and doesn’t harbor pathogens. The Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) requires surfaces that are smooth, impervious, and easy to clean. Standard concrete doesn’t meet these requirements — it’s porous, harbors bacteria, and degrades quickly under the chemical exposure found in grow operations.

At Elevated Epoxy Co., we’ve installed flooring in dozens of licensed cannabis facilities throughout the Denver Metro area. From small craft grows in Aurora to large-scale cultivation operations in Lakewood, we understand the specific needs of this industry. Our systems are designed from the ground up for the demands of cannabis production — not adapted from other applications.

We work with facility owners during the design and licensing phase to ensure flooring meets all regulatory requirements. Our detailed quotes and specifications can be included in license applications and building plans. We’ve helped numerous clients pass MED inspections with flooring that meets or exceeds all requirements.

Benefits of Specialized Grow Facility Flooring

Discover why Colorado’s cannabis cultivators specify our flooring systems for their operations.

Chemical Resistant

Our systems resist the full range of chemicals found in grow operations — nutrients, pH adjusters, sanitizers, pesticides, and extraction solvents. Spills wipe away without staining or degrading the coating.

Moisture Tolerant

High humidity and standing water are facts of life in cultivation facilities. Our floor systems handle constant moisture exposure without blistering, peeling, or delaminating like standard coatings.

Easy to Sanitize

Seamless surfaces with no grout lines or seams eliminate places where pathogens can hide. The smooth, non-porous finish sanitizes completely with standard cleaning protocols.

MED Compliant

Our flooring systems meet all MED requirements for cannabis cultivation facilities. The smooth, impervious surface is easy to clean and doesn’t harbor bacteria, mold, or pests.

Slip Resistant

Wet floors are unavoidable in grow operations. Anti-slip additives provide excellent traction even when wet, improving worker safety without compromising cleanability.

Impact Resistant

Rolling tables, heavy pots, dropped equipment — grow floors take abuse. Our systems absorb impacts without chipping, cracking, or showing damage.

Grow Facility Floor Systems

We offer several flooring systems designed specifically for cannabis cultivation environments. Each system addresses the unique challenges of grow operations.

Urethane Cement (Flower & Veg Rooms)

The gold standard for grow room floors. Urethane cement handles thermal shock, constant moisture, and heavy chemical exposure. Antimicrobial additives inhibit bacteria and mold growth. Exceptional durability under rolling table traffic.

High-Build Epoxy (Dry Processing)

For trim rooms, packaging areas, and dry storage. High-build epoxy provides excellent chemical resistance and durability at a lower cost than urethane cement. Ideal for areas with less moisture exposure.

Moisture-Mitigating Systems (Problem Slabs)

Older buildings often have moisture transmission issues that cause coatings to fail. Our moisture-mitigating systems block vapor drive from below, ensuring coating adhesion even on problematic slabs.

Coved Base Systems (Full Containment)

Integral coved base creates a seamless transition from floor to wall, eliminating the corner where contaminants collect. Required in many cultivation applications and processing areas.

Application-Specific Solutions

Different areas of your facility have different requirements. We design flooring systems matched to each space:

Grow House Flooring FAQ

Does your flooring meet MED requirements?
Yes. Our flooring systems are designed to meet all Marijuana Enforcement Division requirements for cultivation and processing facilities. The seamless, non-porous surfaces are easy to clean, don’t harbor pathogens, and meet requirements for impervious flooring. We can provide specifications and documentation for your license application.
How long does installation take?
Timeline depends on facility size, system selected, and existing conditions. A typical 5,000 square foot grow room takes 4-7 days to complete. Larger facilities may be completed in phases to minimize operational disruption. We work around your schedule as much as possible — including nights and weekends for active facilities.
Can you work in an operational facility?
Yes. We regularly work in phased installations, completing one room at a time while the rest of the facility remains operational. Proper containment procedures prevent dust and odors from affecting plant material. We can coordinate schedules to work during dark cycles or between harvests.
What chemicals will the floor resist?
Our systems resist common cultivation chemicals including: nutrient solutions (all major brands), pH adjusters (phosphoric acid, potassium hydroxide), sanitizers (hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium, bleach solutions), pesticides and fungicides, and extraction solvents (CO2, ethanol — specialized systems for butane). Specific chemical resistance varies by system.
How do I maintain grow facility flooring?
Daily sweeping and wet mopping with standard cleaning solutions is sufficient for maintenance. The seamless surface sanitizes completely with your existing sanitation protocols — hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium, or other approved sanitizers. For deep cleaning, pressure washing is safe. No waxing or resealing required.
Do you install drainage systems?
We work with your drainage contractor to properly integrate floor drains and trench drains into the coating system. Coved drain surrounds and properly sloped floors ensure water flows to drains without ponding. We can recommend drainage contractors experienced in cannabis facility construction if needed.
What about anti-slip in wet areas?
We incorporate anti-slip additives at appropriate levels for each area. High-traffic wet areas receive more aggressive anti-slip; dry processing areas receive less. The goal is maximum safety without compromising cleanability. We can adjust slip resistance levels to match your safety requirements.
